Job Title: Research Associate/Lab Technician

Salary Band: $55,000-$80,000

We are seeking a Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and following protocols and conducting high-quality analytical testing. Attention to detail and accurate data reporting are critical asepects of this role. The ideal candidate should be a team player and willing to work collaboratively. The candidate should be highly organized, and have the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine duties in the lab: inventory organization and maintenance of laboratory supplies, preparing the needed buffers and others as needed.
• Execute scientific techniques including PCR, Western Blot, ELISA and others as required.
• Cell culture room: daily cell monitoring and subculture as needed, cell preparation for experiments as requested.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to diligently and accurately record and document experiments, procedures, and protocols utilizing an electronic lab notebook (ELN) system

Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Biology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Neuroscience or related field.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting, to meet critical deadlines.
• Able to troubleshoot or find resources to address issues.
• Excellent proficiency in the fundamentals of molecular biology, cell biology and neuroscience.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
