Title: Scientist to Principal Scientist

This rapidly expanding company offers a well-funded discovery platform for research furthering into autoimmune diseases, amongst other related/relevant indications.

The team is in search of a dynamic and self-reliant Scientist to scientifically lead immunology projects and research, charting the course for potential pharmaceutical solutions across various disease indications. Also, this company was founded by a serial entrepreneur within the life science space who has had several successful exits/acquisitions. Given the current size and anticipated growth of this exciting venture, the ideal candidate will be given career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute experiments to advance immunology research projects focused on autoimmune diseases.
• Develop and optimize in vitro assays to evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic candidates.
• Utilize in vivo/animal models to study disease mechanisms and test potential treatments.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, and present findings to the research team and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including biology, pharmacology, and medicinal chemistry, to drive project success.
• Stay current with advancements in the field of immunology and autoimmune diseases, and apply new insights to ongoing research.
• Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, and patent applications.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related field, with a focus on autoimmune diseases.
• For Scientist level: 0-3 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience. For Senior/Principal Scientist level: 3 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
• Strong expertise in in vitro techniques, including cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, and other immunoassays.
• Experience with in vivo/animal models of autoimmune diseases.
• Proven track record of assay development and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
