Position Summary

The Ink Analysis Technician works under general supervision to prepare, operate, and monitor Ink Analysis equipment, ensuring products are produced in accordance with company quality, operation, and time standards. The Ink Analysis Technician uses their analytical skills to anticipate and solve a variety of problems to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and an adherence to company policy.

Essential Functions

1. Conduct tests on samples using necessary equipment in the ink lab and perform visual inspections to identify defects in testing results, communicating output to the ink blending analysis team and Engineering
2. Document testing results in internal database for inspection by the Engineering team, CSQA team and Japanese team for quality assurance
3. Support Engineering by performing quality measurements or other activities, as needed
4. Train and assists other Ink Blending team members

3. Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job

Qualifications

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a lab or equivalent is required
3. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
6. Basic math skills are required, including the ability to determine percentages
7. Advanced PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, email, SAM, and CALI
8. Actively participate in a team-oriented environment

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel, safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Exposure to moderate levels of noise and other factors from production and warehouse areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily medium work with frequent, periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, kneeling, talking, listening, and visual inspection of documents. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
