Epsten, APC is Hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant Near Palm Desert, CA

Epsten, APC is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Palm Desert, CA office. This is a daily, IN-OFFICE, position and a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • General administrative tasks.
  • Receptionist responsibilities.
  • Incoming and outgoing postal mail handling.
  • Perform various administrative duties at the request of attorneys and staff such as copying, scanning, binder creation, labeling and handling requests for files and documents.
  • Office supply ordering.
  • Maintain copier and postage machine in good working order.
  • Assist Legal Secretaries with formatting, editing, proofreading correspondence and documents.
  • Assist with client file management tasks to include document databases and electronic records.
  • Assist with file transfers and closures as needed.
  • Maintain a regular working IN-OFFICE schedule.
  • Participate in all required training and team meetings as required.
  • Exhibit good judgment when interfacing with both internal and external clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of law firm experience in an administrative or records capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills an absolute must.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new software programs.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and staff.
  • Able to take initiative and anticipate what tasks need to be completed.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime is required.
  • Must have outstanding technology aptitude and literacy, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, iManage, DocuSign and time tracking software.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks; follow directions and instructions; work independently or in a team, as needed; pay close attention to detail and provide work that is consistently error free.
  • Strong desire to succeed and pursue professional development opportunities and education.
  • Paralegal Certificate helpful.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Salary Range: $20-$30/hour, depending upon detailed experience

Job Type: Full-Time IN-OFFICE (7.5 hour workday)
