Epworth Children's Home is Hiring an EEIC Early Intervention Coordinator Near Columbia, SC

For more than 126 years, Epworth Children's Home has grown and adapted to the individual needs of children and families by providing a safe and nurturing environment, evidence-based practices, and programs across the continuum of care and across the state of South Carolina.
Position Summary:
Manages home-based early intervention services to children with special needs and their families through supervision of Early Intervention Specialists. The Coordinator is also responsible for frequent home visits and contacts with parents/other caregivers to provide and oversee quality Family Training/Special Instruction and Service Coordination services for children ages birth to six years who have developmental delays/disabilities in accordance with policies set forth by BabyNet, SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and Medicaid.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field as per employment guidelines of DHHS/BabyNet and SCDDSN.
Minimum of three years experience in an early intervention setting with at least 1 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
South Carolina Infant and Toddler Credential.
Knowledge and experience working with young children who have developmental delays or other disabilities and their families.
Working knowledge of infant and child development.
Knowledge of systems and services for people with disabilities and of how to negotiate these systems.
Ability to work in collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
Demonstrated ability/experience in writing professional reports and correspondence.
Must be proficient with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic communication. Know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system required.
Must hold a valid SC driver's license.
Must have use of personal vehicle.
Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, fingerprint, Medicaid exclusion list,DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry.
Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
