Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wood shavings plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding skills and have a background in industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment in the wood shavings plant.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair and maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in equipment installations and modifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Valid welding certification.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.
