We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be invested in evidence-based practices and seeks a nursing career rooted in purpose, providing compassionate sexual and reproductive healthcare to patients. Our clinic cares for a diverse population of patients seeking GYN, LGBTQIA , STI/HIV, abortion and reproductive healthcare. The nurse is responsible for assisting our nurse practitioner while providing education and/or treatment to patients with a variety of concerns / needs. The nurse will assess needs, obtain health histories, administer medication, monitor and record patient progress, and educate patients as needed.

General Responsibilities and Tasks:

· Bases nursing actions by applying principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgment/decisions

· Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data in order to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs.

· Develops, evaluates and revises patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient's needs.

· Documents care provided and patient's progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.

· Teaches the patient and/or significant other(s) about the plan of care. Prepares patients to manage their care in an outpatient setting, or preparation for procedure/test.

· Manages time and resources to deliver patient care.

· Dispense, administers medications to patients per Provider orders.

· Provides education/training for patient self-administration of injectable medications when applicable.

· Provides direct patient care.

· Performs nursing role specific requirements withing NH Nursing License and other duties assigned

· Collaborates with the Clinical Team and Executive Director to enhance and implement Quality Assurance & participates in case review processes.

· Collaborates on management of infection and exposure control.

· Perform monthly emergency equipment and medication evaluation

· Inventory and order medication supplies

· Follow standard provider orders for medication refills

Qualifications and Experience:

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in nursing but would consider ASN. Current RN licensure in NH
• Minimum 3 years office / outpatient RN experience, preferably in sexual and reproductive health care/gyn setting.
• Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• EMR fluency
• Experience preferred working with LGBTQIA clients
