Equifind is Hiring a Senior Fund Accountant/ Controller Near Greenwich, CT

Equifind are recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant for a top tier Global Private Equity firm (> $20Bn AUM)based in Greenwich, Connecticut. The role is broad, team dynamic and involves a lot of cross team collaboration and senior stakeholder partnering as well.

The firm in Greenwich, Connecticut HQ has offices in New York but also Globally and are well regarded in the industry with some very notable investments under their belts.

While being a medium size corporate, the sense of collaboration and striving for excellence and culture from the top down cannot be stressed enough. You will not be a cog in a large wheel here but senior management get involved and know everyone.

The role

The breadth in this role cannot be stressed enough also, Your primary responsibilities as Senior Fund Accountant will be:

  • Working closely with the fund administrators, the Head of Fund Accounting to accurately calculate and report the NAVs
  • Assist and coordinate with multiple fund admin providers to ensure all the necessary files are posted and the deliverables are prepared and distributed to the LPs and GPs
  • Review month end close from the administrator
  • Support the IR team and ad hoc monthly investor requests
  • Coordinate the accounting aspects of new fund launches, including participating in the fund structuring and account opening process as well as both internal meetings and investor calls throughout the launch
  • Coordinate with the Management Company Accountants on management fee and incentive forecasts
  • Review of audited financials and fund tax preparation (K-1, Federal State filings)
  • Correspond with LPs and GPs for tax related inquiries
  • Work on various ad hoc projects for your direct line manager and the FC

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-8 years experience within a public accounting firm focused on PE/AM clients or within the industry itself at present
  • Ability to thrive is a fast paced environment, tight deadlines
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills and demonstrated critical thinking ability
  • Proven ability to build relationships at all levels
