Primary Responsibilities Of a Facilities Maintenance Manager
- Maintain mechanical, electrical systems, and the overall appearance of the facility.
- Perform building repairs including but not limited to drywall, paint, ceiling tiles, carpet, and flooring.
- Install manufacturing equipment and connect to 480V 3-phase electricity, air lines, and high-pressure gas lines.
- Maintain the facilitie’s landscaping and handle snow removal.
- Perform preventative maintenance on internal office systems and equipment as assigned.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure their implementation.
- Carry out inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Monitor equipment inventory and partner with the Procurement team to place orders when necessary.
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Sustain the maintenance schedule and track all service or maintenance performed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies.
- Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, etc).

Skills & Qualifications Of a Facilities Maintenance Manager
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related fields.
- Proven experience as a maintenance manager or in other managerial roles.
- Ability to multitask or prioritize effectively.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machinery and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activities.
- Upbeat, energetic individual willing to take on any task assigned.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
