Job Corps is Hiring an Accounting Manager (103011) Near Riverton, WY
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requirements.
- Supervises accounting staff.
- Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items.
- Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data.
- Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
- Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors.
- Reports to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances.
- Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
- Communicates key information to top executive management.
- Leads and directs work of others.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting prefered.
- 5-8 years in Accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role required.
- Knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting software required.
- Outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills required.
- Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements required.
- Ability to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment required.
- Knowledge of Oracle.
