Job Description
PURPOSE
The organization's Information Technology requires a team to provide operational and technical support. The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for managing Equus cloud computing system on daily basis to ensure that the system is reliable, scalable, and secure. Eventually, this position will support all the APM owned subsidiaries in the US.
Some common duties and attributes associated with this role include:
DUTIES

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of cloud-based systems and services.
• Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and services and assess system performance to ensure optimum functionality.
• Work with other team members to analyze and improve cloud-based applications and services.
• Work with business and IT to understand business needs, budget constraints, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop and implement cloud strategies that align with business goals.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for cloud architecture and design.
• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain cloud security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of data and systems.
• Manage cloud vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cloud adoption and integration.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud systems and data.

Qualifications
Required Experience and Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing the cloud infrastructure in a mid to large organization.
• 10 years or more experience in cloud computing, networking, and security.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, as well as relevant work experience in cloud computing, IT operations, or infrastructure management.
• Azure Certification in cloud computing preferred.

Preferred Experience and Competencies

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
• Strong technical skills as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of current industry best practices for cloud computing and identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Exposure to global business structures preferred.
