Ergon is Hiring a Materials Lab Technician Near Chandler, AZ
This position offers a competitive hourly rate with an excellent benefits package including Profit Sharing, Matching 401(k), Health, Life, Disability, Dental, Holiday, Personal, Sick Time, Maternity Leave and Tuition Assistance.Specific Duties
- Perform test and evaluation on raw materials and finished products in accordance with the Quality Control Manual, assuring safety, quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare and test experimental mixtures in the lab for evaluations of raw materials and formulations according to instructions provided.
- Maintain lab equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Assist with maintaining supplies of raw materials for experimental use.
- Classify tested finished products according to appropriate warehouse criteria.
- Accurately sample and test sealants for agency approval.
- A minimum of 1-3 years lab experience.
- Working knowledge and familiarity with raw materials and finished product specifications and properties.
- Ability to use basic math involving decimals and fractions.
- Ability to read and understand formulas, charts, and specifications.
- Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform physical requirement of job such as standing for long periods of time, occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs.
