Oak Crest is a beautiful 87 acre continuing care retirement community located in Parkville, MD. Oak Crest is the 2nd largest continuing care community in the United States. We're part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states-and growing.
Our Physical Therapist Assistants support our residents in all aspects of daily living, providing person-centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident's needs. All of our residents live within our award-winning campus, creating an environment where you can be part of their journey throughout their continuum of care.
We are seeking candidates who have some availability during weekdays on a PRN basis.
Compensation: $40.00 hourly.
Help people live better lives by:
  • Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
  • Providing day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to meet resident's needs in all settings across the Erickson Senior Living community continuum of care
  • Following Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies and procedures and ensure departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance, and other requirements as defined in the respective regulations.
  • Implementing residents' personal care plans, focusing on residents' strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.
  • Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.

What you will need:
  • Minimum of an associate's degree in physical therapy assistant program is required. Degree and training must meet current Medicare and state personnel requirements for Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Experience in the therapeutic care of the older adult across multiple diagnostic groups is preferred.
  • A valid current state license (for the state in which the community provides service) in physical therapy, where applicable.
