ERMCO-ECI is Hiring an Associate Engineer Near Athens, GA

The Associate Engineer will assist with design engineering tasks in time and form, following established processes and procedures. Maintenance of design information for manufacturing and follow up with other departments inquiries or needs. This role must be able to contribute to the team actively, while encouraging participation from team members. To be successful, the Associate Engineer must be open to new ideas or thought processes. This role must be able to effectively listen to understand issues, as well as be assertive.

  • Assist design engineers and support the marketing, manufacturing, and other related departments.
  • Ensures that product design is safe and manufacturable.
  • Create new parts and assemblies to meet customer and ERMCO requirements.
  • Ensures that designs meet the customer’s specification, ERMCO, and industry standards.
  • Create detailed 2D or 3D drawings and provide shop support for design issues.
  • Maintain engineering design data in the Design System
  • Participate in Kaizen events and other improvement projects.
  • Engineering to order new designs using and troubleshooting DE software and procedures.
  • Interface with other department personnel regarding ideas, processes, tests, products and/or drawings, as well as external customers and/or vendors.
  • Utilize various established department procedures, equipment, materials, tools, practices, or models to meet department requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of two years of experience using CAD software (2D and 3D Modeling)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Access)

  • Cooperation/Initiative - ability to display a cooperative attitude, collaborate with work teams, and display a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
  • Work Environment/Travel/ Physical Requirements:
  • Position contingent on passing all applicable fit for duty requirements.
  • Maybe required to climb, bend or squat on occasion.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move 20-35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Position is located onsite in Athens, GA
