We are seeking a Director of Rehab Services to join our team!

Hospital Details
SKY REHAB, located in Bowling Green, KY is a 60 bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families. SKY Rehab Hospital has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for the following services and specialty programs: Inpatient Rehabilitation (Adults, Adolescents, and Children), Brain Injury Specialty Program (Adults), and Stroke Specialty Program (Adults). Our hospital is also accredited by The Joint Commission.
Responsibilities

Responsible for serving as the Director of all rehabilitation services for the hospital. The Director works to fulfill functions of achieving clinical and financial operational goals. Monitors admissions and treatment schedules, assists in marketing, implements hospital policy as appropriate, assists in development of new programs, ensures rehab department meets the Joint Commission and CARF accreditation where applicable, as appropriate to the vision of hospital. Provides additional administrative supervision and rehabilitation management as established by the Chief Executive Officer/Governing Board.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist in the state of employment required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of therapy-related experience required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master's Degree in an allied health field preferred.
  • Three (3) years management experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and with inpatient psychiatric population.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress or in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interact with people who are under physical and / or emotional stress.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
