Job Overview
Under the supervision of the National Transportation Manager and the Store Manager, a Class B Truck Driver/ Warehouse Associate is responsible for daily transportation assignments, product receiving, product inspection, and inventory management. You are responsible for timely and successful completion of pick-up and delivery assignments and must assist with proper invoicing as well as loading and unloading of materials.
Duties
* Ensure timely and successful completion of deliveries
* Load and unload materials on truck
* Work in conjunction with Store management to ensure successful completion of deliveries
* Follow federal and company safety procedures
* Ability to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Hours of Service (HOS) manual and/or Electronic Long Data (ELD)
* Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) per the FMCSA
* Demonstrate proper driving habits
* Maintain proper paperwork including an accurate log book
* Organize and submit required paperwork to Store management
* Pull stock orders and branch transfers and process in timely manner
* Communicate with customer service staff regarding any order discrepancies or issues
* Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
* Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and assist with corporate inventory counts
* Assist customers with loading and unloading their vehicles and follow proper invoicing protocol
* Follow proper receiving protocol, including thorough product inspections
* Uphold all warehouse safety protocol and instruction
* Attend all safety meetings and conduct regular safety inspections
* Maintain high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
* Work cooperatively in team environment
* Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives
* Any other duties required of this position
Minimum Qualifications
* 1 year of commercial driving experience
* Excellent attendance and punctuality at current or previous employment
* Must pass DOT preemployment drug/alcohol test
* Must provide an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
* Must provide valid Medical Card
* Must pass basic physical test
* Must pass a Bedrosians road test
* Must provide valid CDL
* Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
* Reliable attendance, punctuality and good time management skills
* Good customer service and communication skills
* Good computer skills
* Ability to follow written and oral directions
* Ability to read, interpret and follow company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations
* Ability to ensure all safety procedures are followed
* Prior warehouse experience is a plus
