ESC Region 3 is Hiring a Coordinator - Academic Services Program Manager Near Victoria, TX

Provide effective and efficient technical assistance for the development and implementation of federal and state programs to improve the performance of students. Job may require occasional in-region and out-of-region travel, occasional prolonged and irregular hours.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five or more years of experience working with budgets/budget planning
  • Three or more years of experience working with academic grants

Knowledge/Skills:

  • A demonstrated track record of success in process execution
  • An in-depth knowledge of budgeting and budgeting planning
  • Ability to plan and implement a planning and performance management work model for budgets/finances
  • Ability to design, deliver, and facilitate high-quality work products for adult audiences, both in person and virtually
  • Ability to connect with diverse audiences and understand complex and unique circumstances in order to support growth among individuals
  • Ability to coach and provide regular feedback on performance measures as it relates to grant/budget expenses
  • Highly organized; ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail with an ability to produce high quality work in diverse environment
  • Ability to break down complex information into comprehensive parts, ask questions, synthesize and analyze
  • Ability to influence others to achieve outcomes, both within and outside formal management structures

  • A demonstrated track record of TXLS programmatic retention and TXLS programmatic expansion at campus and
  • Ability to provide targeted, high-leverage feedback
  • Ability to facilitate a high-quality data meeting
  • Ability to analyze data at multiple levels, in order to develop effective expenditure plans
  • Ability to coordinate budget training for department leadership


Essential Functions:

  • Designs, delivers, monitors department budgets, grant progress, and department financial records
  • Partners closely with department leadership team to develop effective expenditure plans for local, state, and federal funding
  • Contributes to the alignment of the vision and mission of Region 3 and Academic Services to program execution
  • Contributes to the scaling and aligning of best practices with grant expenditures
  • Partners closely with members of the Business Department to ensure timeliness and accuracy of budgeting processes
  • Complies with federal and state laws, State Board of Education Rules, and ESC board policy and procedures
  • Presents customized administrator overviews of budget analysis
  • Establishes a cadence of meetings with Academic Services department leaders to share in-depth data results and program progress.
