Full-time and part-time positions are eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package, including dental and vision coverage, the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits after 90 days of employment. Benefits are not applicable to on-call employees.

**Position Summary:**

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of meals for the residents, for cooking a variety of foods that ensure the highest quality and resident satisfaction, maintains cleanliness of food services area. supervises the kitchen staff in the absence of Manager or Lead Cook.

The Waitperson is responsible for the set-up, delivery and clean-up of the meal period for which they are responsible. They are also responsible for providing service in a friendly and congenial manner.

**Position Responsibilities may include:**

* Applying sanitation and safety techniques while working.

* Preparing and cooking meals according to menus and recipes and adheres to all diets.

* Performing cleaning and maintenance of kitchen community and equipment according to schedules, and procedures. Maintains logs.

* Bussing and resetting tables as needed.

* Assisting with preparing plates and serving residents.

* Familiar with food service disaster plan.

**Qualifications**

**Education:**

High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred.

**Training and Experience:**Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred. California Food Handler required for Cook positions.
