Job Description:

Position Overview:

• The ideal BI Engineer is a seasoned engineer who has proven track record of designing, developing and maintaining large scale BI Applications.
• As part of the BI team, the day-to-day responsibilities include supporting BI Platform upgrades, assisting in defining the Tableau Strategy, educating the BI end users, developing an operational guide, and other such BI related tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support in developing and maintaining the BI tools for multiple projects to implement new business capabilities.
• This includes but is not limited to different initiatives including Tableau Strategy, Tableau Upgrade, Best Practices/Training, Environment Management/Operations and multiple POC's with tools such as Alteryx

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise on Tableau Software Platform and guide to create Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Provide subject matter expertise on conducting multiple POC initiatives with tools like Tableau and Alteryx.
• Provide subject matter expertise to identify application issues and manage to resolution
• Provide subject matter expertise to generate and/or maintain deliverables required for application owner checklist development, i.e. Risk and Controls Assessment, POC Implementation Plan and Status, provide detailed Status Reports daily, develop Production Rollout Plan, facilitate the creation of accurate business process flows, attend Technical Account Manager (TAM) meetings, facilitate Champions meetings, review project Deliverables, and gather other project documents as needed.
• Identify project issues and risks and recommend mitigation strategies or solutions.
• Provide Deliverables as identified for the activities required within the established timeframes.
• Typically has 5-7 years related experience
• Education Level: Bachelor s degree.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Tableau 2019.1 and Alteryx
• Experience with MicroStrategy a plus
• Develop Tableau License Forecasting and Management
• Facilitate the documentation of business process deliverables
• Identify issues, risks and migration strategies
• Document Alteryx requirements for a Server implementation
• Create/Develop BI Operations Guide for Tableau and possibly for MicroStrategy
• Develop Enterprise-wide BI Training Plan
• Create detailed work breakdown structure for Tableau upgrade
• Facilitate the documentation of BI best practices
• Facilitate the documentation of Operations Guide
• Document Tableau Processes and Development Best Practices
• Develop Training material as per group's needs
