ESPO Corporation is Hiring a Production Manager / Scheduler Near Elgin, IL
Job Title: Production Manager / Scheduler Location: Elgin, IL Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire Pay rate: $65,000-$80,000 Hours- Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm Key Responsibilities
Oversee 10 employees in the entire production process, including fabrication and assembly, to meet targets and deadlines.
Work with VP to create the production schedule and improve efficiency
Supervises diverse work groups in a team environment using effective listening, coaching, training, investigative and problem-solving skills, ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and effective time management in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
Manage timekeeping and PTO requests for Fab/Assembly teams.
Develop and implement new metrics to meet client needs.
Updates systems for accurate billing and smooth transactions.
Leads assembly projects ensuring quality standards are met.
Provides training and support for team enhancement.
Upholds safety and compliance standards through inspections.
Optimizes resource allocation to drive productivity and reduce costs.
Analyzes production data for continuous improvement.
Conducts testing processes to ensure product integrity.
Leads product and materials prototyping for innovation.
Monitors equipment performance and safety.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams for seamless operations.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in fabrication operations.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and materials.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred
Knowledgeable in ERP / MRP software (such as Smartsheets)
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Familiarity with safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles.
Attention to detail and communication abilities.
