Essentra is Hiring a Territory Sales Representative Near Detroit, MI

Reid Supply is seeking an enthusiastic Territory Sales Representative to join the sales team based in the greater Detroit, MI area. As a Sales Representative for Reid Supply, you be responsible for driving sales within established accounts along with generating new sales opportunities from new business development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Full management of defined sales territory with pre-defined customer list.
  • Customer support – present proposals and solutions, provide samples, quotes and turn complaints into opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring your assigned territory meets strategic sales and margin targets.
  • Maximize profitability at account level.
  • Provide a good level of communication to the Head of Sales and other senior managers, through monthly reporting, emails, phone, etc. as required.
  • Conduct in-depth sales analysis to determine strengths, weaknesses and opportunities within your territory.
  • Provide strategic direction and solutions based on data driven sales analysis for your territory.
  • Evaluate incoming opportunities and take effective action as required.
  • Constantly build and develop a sales pipeline.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and communicate changes and progress.
  • Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings.
  • Manage all customer communication (opportunities, visit reports, pipeline) via the Essentra CRM.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to maximize all sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4 years of proven successful business-to-business sales experience is required.
  • 4 years’ experience actively using a CRM tool.
  • A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and the ability to travel are also required.
  • Associates Degree or the equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working directly (or indirectly) with an ‘Industrial supplies’ reseller or distribution business, is preferred
