Essex Westford School District (EWSD) is seeking a talented special educator to join the team of passionate educators at Essex High School beginning in the 24/25 school year. This role offers a unique opportunity within our off-campus alternative program. Merging case management of students placed out of district with direct support for students placed in our in-district program. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail in special education paperwork and compliance, strong teamwork skills, and dedication to helping students overcome various barriers to success through building strong connections between home and school, championing student advocacy, fostering positive coping skills, implementing and managing personalized behavior support plans, and cultivating meaningful relationships.

EWSD is committed to considering out-of-state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold a license in this state.

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

• Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid VT educator license with an applicable endorsement.
• Valid Vermont State driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred and possibly required.

• Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all students with an ability to understand and teach various learning styles.
