Summary Estes Energetics is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our Goex black powder manufacturing facility on Camp Minden in Minden, Louisiana.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs preventive, facility, and production machinery maintenance. You will work closely with the production team to ensure safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing plant.

You will be required to dress out in work-specific clothes issued to you by the company and shower at the end of each working day.

Due to the unusual nature of our business, you will have times in which you and your team will need to interact with the production team to troubleshoot machinery issues while the line is hot.

Teamwork is especially important here in all aspects of the job as we strive for safety. Essential Functions Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control issues to determine repairs Perform equipment, machinery, and facility maintenance, including on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.

Perform and maintain preventive maintenance schedules on paper and in a computerized maintenance management systems Maintain paper and electronic records to ensure the integrity of our information.

Adhere to regulatory and safety standards, for example proper lock-out / tag-out procedures, while performing work. Competencies, Experience, and Education Required High school diploma or GED Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including Be 21 years of age or older Pass pre-employment drug test Pass State and Federal background checks.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance Experience with VFD controls from Toshiba or Allen-Bradley a plus Carpentry Skills a plus Supervisory Responsibility None Work Environment The work will primarily be in an industrial explosives manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands Ability to lift 50 pounds Comfortable sitting, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Exposure to industrial machines, heat, cold, and explosives Frequent movement through a manufacturing environment Use of personal protective equipment appropriate to the work location Travel None Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.

Typical workdays are a 4x10’ schedule, 10 hours per day, 4 days per week. Employees are expected to work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.

Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods, such as maintenance shutdowns.
