Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Create recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.
- Review and analyse data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Members of the Caterpillar Financial Oracle EBS Finance Support team are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues and solutioning and testing of newly requested functionality. This position will work closely with other teams (IS, Technical, Business, and Reporting) to bring resolutions to issues in a timely manner.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 8-10 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Accounting systems (Planning Analytics and Controller) knowledge required.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
- Knowledge of Oracle R12 and Oracle EBS applications
- Knowledge of Lease Accounting
- Advanced Excel Skills preferred.

(Required)
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to handle account analysis and effectively communicate the results to manager and staff.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to reconcile accounts and resolve any resulting issues.
- Thorough knowledge of U. S GAAP and the proven ability to apply Lease Accounting to solve issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple issues simultaneously.
