Description:
We are seeking a self-starter, motivated, and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Lab Technician for a hydrometallurgical mining lab.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/metallurgy/mining engineering or other related discipline
• Experience of analytical chemistry – particularly with AA, ICP-OES, HPLC, LC-MS
• Experience in a research-oriented environment leading to product development
• Individual must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization
• Must be self-directed, self-motivated and be effective at communicating with internal and external customers
Your daily tasks will include:
• Conducting research to improve hydrometallurgical processes in the mining industry, with a primary focus on the research program for leaching. You will execute laboratory experiments, and pilot-scale tests to evaluate results.
• Perform all standard hydrometallurgical analysis and procedures with a focus on leaching activities; processing ore samples, running column tests, and operating and maintaining lab equipment.
• Providing regular project updates to management, supporting scientists, marketing, sales, and tech service colleagues.
