eTeam is Hiring a Library Mailroom Assistant Near Providence, RI
Job DescriptionPicks up and delivers mail and other materials for the University Library and insures their proper dispatch.
Receives, stores, and disperses library supply and equipment as required.
Performs duties related to the Library mail and supply rooms.
Interacts in a courteous and helpful manner in performing the job.
Must be able to physically perform position: lift 50 lbs, use bookcart and hand truck
They will be assisting the team of 2 others
NO Driving
Needs Customer service experience
May have to assist in moving chairs and furniture inside the library or conference room for events.
100% ONSITE- PARKING IS ON STREETHours: Monday _Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pmNumber of years of experience needed? 1-2 years
Minimum education requirement High school or equivalent
Job ResponsibilitiesAre there any specific tools the resource will need to know how to use?
Hand trucks, Dollies, box cutting tools and material handling
What is the ideal personality for someone in this role?
Friendly, positive demeanor and comfortable working in a diverse environment
Must the resource be bilingual? If so, in what language?
Ability to read and write English
Provide the TOP 3 “must have” skills?Communication, customer relation skills,
Physical strength and stamina for prolonged standing, lifting and carrying heavy library materials and ability to bend and stoop
Which skills are “nice to haves”? Communication and customer relation skills
