Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ethos Financial Partners team as a Servicing Advisor. The Servicing Advisor is not a producing advisor; instead, he or she is dedicated to supporting the needs of a Financial Advisor and his or her clients. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who may be looking to become a producing advisor after spending a few years in this role.

Job Duties

  • Putting “clients first” and creating a consistently referable client experience
  • Service clients of a lead advisor’s practice
  • Meet with clients based on service needs and assets with our firm
  • Involvement in all aspects of the pre-client meeting activities, including data gathering, preparing agendas, assisting with client paperwork and asset allocations
  • Assist in preparing for and conducting client meetings and regularly monitoring client’s financial situations with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Responsible for post-meeting activities including meeting summaries, financial situation analysis, coordination of plan implementation with outside professionals
  • Work within Ethos Financial Partners’ systems and guidelines
  • Assist in various projects including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections
  • Take inbound calls from our clients and perform any research or paperwork associated with their inquiry
  • Prepare documentation for or as a result of client meetings including scanning notes, updating client documentation, preparing/processing account paperwork, performing research for the Financial Advisor, etc.
  • Prepare and process complex paperwork including annuities, REITs, insurance products and others
  • Keep management systems up-to-date with client information
  • Educate clients on account services and capabilities
  • Help with the preparation of reports and other materials for client meetings, collect the right documentation for opening new accounts and service requests, other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Applicant will need to be fully licensed (Series 7, Series 66, Life & Health)
  • Work in the Thornton office with an option for a hybrid work from home schedule after training period
  • At least two years’ experience with client service; financial planning or advising industry experience preferred; trading experience a plus
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial, and FINRA

  • Ability to work as a team and individually while keeping the lead advisor aware of progress and challenges; able to contribute and work in a team environment; coachable
  • High emotional competency; excellent communication and listening skills
  • Comfortable and capable speaking with clients, meeting clients in person, over the phone and via webinar
  • Strong financial and analytic skills; ability to learn new and complex concepts
  • Strong technology and Microsoft suite skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, MoneyGuide Pro
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to utilize the practice’s systems and processes for working with clients and contribute ideas to both as they are always evolving
