As a Veterinary Float you will be supporting a variety of departments including internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, oncology, radiology, and behavior.

As a Veterinary Assistant Float, you'll be the backbone of our team, providing invaluable support across all departments. This versatile role offers exposure to various facets of veterinary care, including patient support, restraint, x-rays, kennel management, OR turnover, and more! It's an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about entering the field and eager to dive into diverse experiences.
As a Veterinary Float you will be supporting a variety of departments including internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, oncology, radiology, and behavior.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a pristine and secure work environment, ensuring cleanliness in laundry facilities, floors, and cages.
- Assisting with basic animal restraint and providing essential animal husbandry and hygiene between patients.
- Performing basic record-keeping procedures and overseeing the proper stocking of medical supplies and janitorial needs.
- Handling of laboratory samples for in-hospital tests and outside submissions
- Four 10-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7a – 7p

- $15 - $19 pending skills assessment leveling
- A high school diploma or equivalent; candidates from vocational co-op programs are warmly welcomed.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Strong emotional competencies, including self-awareness, a positive attitude, authenticity, and empathy toward others.
