Designation: Project Manager

Location: New York

Job Summary:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating with team members, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. You will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Key Responsibilities Area:

• Project Planning & Execution:Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Stakeholder Management:Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Liaise with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
• Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Ensure the project team has the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed.
• Risk Management:Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Prepare and present project progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance:Ensure that projects adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
• Budget Management:Track project costs and manage the project budget.
• Ensure all financial objectives are met and forecast any changes to the project budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
• Experience in Big 4, Fintech or financial captive units
• Strong understanding of fintech products, services, and industry regulations.
• Proven experience managing projects involving software development, product launches, or digital transformation.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
• Proficient in project management software tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with API integrations, blockchain, or other emerging financial technologies.
