- Performs analytical testing that may include the following instruments: HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, etc.
- Completes test records and reviews data to ensure compliance with standards in a routine quality control environment
- Reports anomalies in data results
- May assist in the validation of methods
- Maintains laboratory supplies.
- Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
- Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
- Supports and monitors team of analysts
- May participate in new hire interviews
- Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
- Participates in training of other employees.
- Performs peer review of data.
- Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in HPLC, LCMS, and/or GCMS is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration
- At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a scientific industry is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
The position is full-time, Sunday-Wednesday from 1pm-11:30pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.
- Base compensation is $27-32 per hour based on experience.
- 2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay
