What To ExpectAs a member of the Evaluation Infrastructure team, you will design and implement a diverse set of backend services and tools that power Tesla Bot and Full Self-Driving software and processes. The systems you build will have a large impact on Tesla Bot, from fleet data collection & processing, to Machine Learning workflows, to evaluation and validation of the software stack.
As an engineer on the Evaluation Infrastructure team, you bring top-notch software engineering skills and can contribute to our systems immediately. A strong candidate will either be an excellent software generalist, or someone who has an exceptionally strong backend and infrastructure background.
What You'll DoDesign and implement backend services and tools that handle fleet data collection, batch processing, training, simulation, and evaluation based on real-world sensor dataInfluence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability, reliability and high performanceSetup and maintain monitoring, metrics & reporting systems for fine-grained observability and actionable alertingWork closely with the other Tesla Bot teams to design and implement backend components required for future Tesla Bot features and processes
What You'll BringExperience with Python Experience with Linux, networking, storage and virtualization automation with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similarExperience with AWS services such as EC2/S3/RDS/SQSIn-depth knowledge of container orchestrators and cluster management softwareExperience with data stores and indexers like PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $360,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
