Job Summary: As a Tax Accountant at EVB Certified Public Accountant PC, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax services to individuals, businesses, and organizations. You will play a pivotal role in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services, ensuring clients' financial well-being while adhering to all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns.
· Ensure that tax returns are accurate, complete, and submitted in compliance with all tax deadlines.
· Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide expert guidance to clients.
· Collaborate with clients to develop tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
· Identify opportunities to optimize clients' tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
· Offer tax planning advice related to investments, estate planning, and business transactions.
· Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their tax-related questions and concerns.
· Conduct meetings to review financial information, tax strategies, and compliance issues.
· Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
· Analyze financial statements and documents to assess tax implications and opportunities for tax savings.
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients to help them make informed decisions.
· Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends through continuous research and professional development.
· Apply tax law changes to client scenarios and adjust tax strategies accordingly.
· Prepare and compile necessary tax documentation and supporting schedules.
· Generate and present clear and concise financial reports, including tax projections and estimates.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (EA or CPA certification preferred).
· 2 - 5 years experience as a tax accountant, preferably in a CPA firm or a similar professional services environment.
· Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
· Proficiency in CCH tax software and QuickBooks, CaseWare accounting software.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
