Description
Reports to: Director of Development
Overview: Memorial Park Conservancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Development Events Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Events Coordinator is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of events related to major fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship initiatives. They will execute a varied events strategy intended to raise revenue, acquire new supporters, increase brand visibility, support board leadership, and facilitate moments of appreciation for our donors. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker with a strong background in fundraising and event management, and a track record of increasing donor engagement and fundraising revenue.
Responsibilities:
•Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of fundraising and donor events aligned with MPC's mission
•Serve as the primary liaison with outside services and vendors retained, including catering, rentals, dcor, security, parking, AV, graphics, entertainment, etc.
•Manage event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational objectives
•Work with event chairs and committees to maximize fundraising opportunities and execute a successful event
•Identify, cultivate, and solicit current and prospective donors for corporate and individual underwriting, ticket and table purchases, and donations to fundraising events and ensure benefit fulfillment
•Ensure all event logistics are appropriately executed in line with event deadlines, budget, and goals
•Produce a multi-channel communications plan for all events inclusive of website updates, newsletter blurbs, email blasts, and social media posts in conjunction with the Development Communications Coordinator
•Coordinate the design, preparation, printing, and mailing of invitations and letters, including host committee solicitations, underwriting solicitations, save-the-dates, and invitation mailings in conjunction with the Development Communications Coordinator
•Create online event registration forms and maintain records to track reservations, event details, and guest lists to ensure all records are consistently up to date and accurate
•Coordinate the design of event material including programs, pledge cards, slideshows, table numbers, and signage in conjunction with the Development Communications Coordinator
•Create and prepare all event coordination documents including run of show, timelines, guest briefing packets, RSVP reports, fundraising reports, timelines, scripts, and talking points
•Handle inquiries and field calls from attendees regarding questions about events
•Coordinate all on site logistics on event day, including load in, set up, check in, breakdown, and load out
•Oversee acknowledgement and invoicing of event contributions and prepare reports in conjunction with the Development Associate
•Conduct post event analysis and make recommendations for future improvements
•Attends and staffs development events and functions throughout the year
Requirements
Skills and Requirements:
•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in special events
•Demonstrated flexibility, self-motivation, attention to detail, and organization
•Proven record of successfully managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
•Proven track record of generating revenue from events
•Ability to plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives
•Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people
•Experience with Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM system) preferred
•Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Canva, and email marketing software is preferred
•Experience in fundraising is preferred
•Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required

Compensation:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a range of $24 -$28.85/hour. Benefits include full medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability and 401k retirement plan.
