Financial Risk Analyst
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Tualatin, OR (hybrid)
The Financial Risk Analyst performs first-tier professional-level assignments that require the application of theoretical knowledge and principles in Mid Office Operations, including Contracts, Credit, and Asset Management. This role is responsible for analyzing possible solutions using advanced knowledge, supporting credit negotiations, contract administration, and billing analysis. The position operates independently, receiving moderate guidance, and involves daily interaction with the team and manager.
Position Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze exposure to risk by monitoring and evaluating transactions and portfolios.
- Evaluate adequacy of risk measurements, monitor risk limits, and report findings to senior management.
- Negotiate credit terms with vendors and counterparties, including Guarantees, Letters of Credit, and Credit Support Annex.
- Conduct analyses, develop reports, and support risk analysis decisions.
- Provide data and reporting for regulatory analyses and compliance requirements.
- Ensure data integrity in risk management systems.
- Maintain and update credit policies, procedures, and scoring matrices.
- Perform credit analysis of customers, vendors, and other parties.
- Support contract administration and billing analysis related to contracts.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, credit management, and contracts.
- Expanded professional-level knowledge in risk management concepts, including claims, insurance, loss prevention, and credit analysis.
- Intermediate skills in financial modeling and experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of electrical system operations.
- Intermediate written and oral communication skills, negotiation skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Project management or CPA certification preferred.
