Job Summary: Everest Global Services, Inc., a division of Everest Group, Ltd., is looking for a Legal Operations Specialist to design, implement, streamline, and execute efficient processes and procedures within Everest’s Law department. This position will be based in our Warren, NJ office, working a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities: Manage law department operations with a focus on establishing durable infrastructure and driving operational efficiency. Develop systems, processes and metrics for law department operations and data analytics to track continuous improvement. Manage legal department financials, including leading the annual budget process, tracking expenses, identifying cost-savings, and reporting expenditures on periodic basis. Coordinate with Senior Leadership Team to identify early detection and reporting processes for timely completion of projects and effectiveness of systems or tools. Collaborate with department paralegals in developing improvements to licensing and filing processes and systems. Process legal vendor invoices for payment through Oracle system. Develop and implement outside counsel billing guidelines; coordinate with outside counsel billing departments for proper setup and use of online billing platform. Collaborate with business and functional departments to gather data, enhance efficiencies and ensure compliance with company policies. Evaluate and assist in implementation of new or improved technology solutions, including e-billing and document management systems. Manage large scale legal projects end to end, including procurement and contract management. Work with attorneys and staff to support the department’s plans to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Provide other administrative support to legal department as needed, including assisting with the onboarding of new hires and space planning for future growth. Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of in-house legal operations experience. Law firm operations experience will be considered. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with strong computer and technical skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Flexible and eager to undertake new areas of responsibility. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Capable of handling multiple projects with varying deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and be able to flourish in a “team” environment while also working independently.
