Everett J. Prescott, Inc.’s sister company, Red Hed Brass Manufacturing, is seeking a well-rounded individual with basic mechanical and shop skills and knowledge to join their machine shop team as a Shop Foreman in Lincoln, RI!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shop Foreman should be proficient in Solid Works, CNC Programming and operations, possess lathe and vertical lathe experience, as well as milling experience. The Shop Foreman will also oversee shop workforce, schedule, and manage incoming orders as well as oversee shipping of final products. Must also be able to read CAD drawings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safety Training

· OSHA 10 Hour

· Managing shop staff to include staff scheduling and performance management

· Forklift training and certification

· Running lathes, saw cutting, grinding, threading of brass fittings utilizing on-site robotic equipment

· Welding and soldering of various metals

· Picking the proper materials and loading them safely into the lathe or threader, and centering the material for machining (whether flanging or grooving)

· Fabricating items to meet company policies, AWWA, and other industry specific manufacturing standards

· Trouble shooting and repair of machinery

· Reading and comprehension of specifications book

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be 18 years old

· Pass pre-employment checks

· Must be reliable and punctual

· Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

· Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling is required

· Must work well with others, teamwork is essential

· Clear telephone, email, and in person communication with staff, leadership, customers, and vendors

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

· High School / vocational / or equivalent education and work experience preferred, but not required.
