Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:

Summary StatementUnder the supervision of the Director of Special Services, the Compliance Clerk is responsible to process the paperwork and perform other duties required for students to receive the services of special education.
Essential Functions
  • Communicate effectively with staff and the general public in person, by telephone, via E-mail and in writing.
  • Create/update Due Process files for special education students in the district.
  • Review special education paperwork and files submitted for completeness and compliance. Share findings with necessary staff.
  • Operate the computer and input data into IEP Online.
  • Send and receive special education Due Process paperwork.
  • Assist in tracking Due Process time lines and keep teams apprised of deadlines.
  • Complete the Due Process File Review Checklist for each file completed, and submit each file and checklist to Special Services.
  • Assist teams in arranging meetings and scheduling Due Process activities.
  • File student confidential information.
  • Travel from location to location in order to perform tasks.

Minimum Qualifications(Testing may be required.)
  • Typing/keyboarding (35-50 wpm).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a related field, or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computers and Microsoft software applications.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn IEP Online .
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Special Education Due Process procedures.
  • Previous experience working with groups of special educators preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and possess a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to follow through.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities at one time.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks accurately and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Must possess personal characteristics of flexibility, initiative, and cooperativeness.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Must be able to travel from location to location in order to perform tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others as part of a team.
