Overview:
Everlast Roofing, Inc. HR Generalist reports directly to the Human Resource Manager. The HR Generalist will support our HR department's activities while working closely with HR management. This position is integral to handling day-to-day HR functions, from employee onboarding to offboarding and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into the company. 
  • Oversee and assist with enrollment and managing group health and other employee benefits. This includes handling the annual benefits open enrollment period and ensuring accurate and up-to-date benefits records.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. This involves maintaining all necessary employee documentation, including contracts, medical documents, and I-9 forms, and conducting regular policy reviews and updates.
  • Address employee inquiries and issues, ensuring swift resolution. Coordinate disciplinary procedures and assist in managing employee performance reviews.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies to help protect the company and its employees, ensuring these policies are up-to-date and well-communicated.
  • To ensure efficient operations, support various HR-related functions, such as HRM system management (Paycom), as well as other administrative tasks.
  • Manage the termination process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews, coordinating severance packages, and managing the retrieval of company property.
  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as needed or directed by HR management.

Qualifications


Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and benefits administration.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in HR software, particularly Paycom.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace safety.
