Position Description: (LOCATION: Norwalk, CT)Individual will remove, repair, replace, and install various sizes and types of gas piping; investigate and repair gas odor complaints; operate various types of pavements breaking and road cutting equipment; and operate a backhoe and dump truck. The selected candidate must also perform walking leak surveys; perform underground utility mark outs; and perform drilling and tapping of various sizes and types of gas mains. Individual will be required during periods of trouble call assignment to make themselves available at their reporting base within approximately 30 minutes. Selected candidates will be subject to work shift work. Holding a Commercial Driver's License is preferred.Starting Rate of Pay: $30.41 per hourPrincipal Duties:
- Remove, repair, replace and install various sizes and types of gas piping.
- Investigate and repair gas odor complaints.
- Operate various types of pavement breaking and road cutting equipment
- Operation of backhoe and dump truck.
- Perform walking leak survey.
- Perform underground utility mark outs
- Perform drilling and tapping various sizes and types of gas mains.
