Sr. DB Developer HYBRID ONLY
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Database Developer! In this role, you'll spearhead the conceptualization, execution, and maintenance of database solutions for a range of projects. Your focus will be on crafting Oracle database applications, enhancing batch processing capabilities, and refining reporting functionalities, all in support of our diverse web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with various business units to grasp project requirements and technical needs.
- Conduct thorough analysis to assess project feasibility and provide insightful cost/benefit analyses.
- Strategize and coordinate tasks, ensuring seamless progress and alignment with development teams.
- Innovate internal processes, streamlining workflows, and enhancing scalability.
Development Task:
- Undertake intricate programming tasks, leveraging established standards and methodologies.
- Design robust application and database components, aligning with project specifications.
- Employ advanced SQL expertise to optimize queries and integrate seamlessly with different applications.
- Provide guidance to full stack developers on design strategies and optimal query construction.
Additional Skillsets:
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, implementing approved changes and addressing critical issues.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in troubleshooting and resolving production problems.
- Proactively identify and rectify performance bottlenecks in SQL queries and database programs.
- Coordinate with fellow developers to streamline efforts and drive efficiency.
- Provide tier 2 on-call support for urgent application issues.
- Collaborate on initiatives to enhance work efficiency and compliance.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with expertise in OLTP database applications development.
- Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL techniques and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in UNIX/LINUX/Solaris environments and multi-tier architecture.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
