Every Child’s Hope is a local social services agency that provides programing to youth on a campus that includes an Early Ed Center, School, Residential Treatment program and Transitional Living program that in all serve over 160 children each day and employee over 100 staff.
Summary: Responsible for maintaining a healthy environment in a group setting for youth to meet their individual goals; to assist youth with self-esteem and developing independent living skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Provide supervision to youth who are in foster care or homeless in a group living setting in the community.
- Provide youth with support and guidance.
- Develop positive, professional relationships and boundaries with youth.
- Provide instructions to youth regarding desirable health and personal habits.
- Provide youth assistance and encouragement in their school work and other pursuits.
- Assist youth with the following life skills: cooking, shopping, transportation, filling out job applications, budgeting, and how to upkeep living environment.
- Provide para-counseling to youth in crisis or non-crisis situation.
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary to include calling the police, ambulance, or fire department when needed.
- Observe youths’ behavior and conduct reports to the team.
- Keep written records as requested.
- Maintain financial records and present them to the TLP Group Home Supervisor for monthly audit.
- Purchase items for the house including food, supplies, etc.
- Keep the house, yard and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition and see it is kept in good repair.
- Make sure youth have proper clothing attire, plan menus and prepare meals.
- Arrange for medical, dental and similar services and transport youth to various appointments.
- Coordinate with the professional staff including therapist, psychiatrist, legal guardian, and others to implement and monitor the treatment plan.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age, and have any combination of training and experience equal to a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university in a field related to human services and have 2 years of experience working with people.
- Must be of good moral character and able to serve as a positive role model for youth; to work under a great deal of stress and to seek on-the-job training.
- Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be drug-free and pass a criminal background check.'

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.38 - $18.72 per hour
