Evolution Credit Partners is Hiring a Middle Office Analyst Near Boston, MA

Evolution Credit Partners (“Evolution” or “ECP”), headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with an office in New York, NY, manages approximately $3 billion across a range of synergistic alternative credit strategies. Evolution's credit platform provides bespoke financing solutions across the credit spectrum with a focus on leverage finance and trade finance.

Role Description:

The Middle Office Analyst is an integral member of the Middle Office team at ECP, supporting and reviewing the credit workflow from deal approval to exit. This entails facing internal teams, trading counterparties, fund administration, and multiple service partners as part of managing the execution of the Firm’s investments.

This role entails the following:

Trade Settlements

  • Work on the full life cycle of trade finance, leverage finance, and other structured credit investments 
  • Steward and adhere to trade close process to progress trades from Investment Committee approval to deal funding close and exit. This includes collaborating with the Investment team, the Finance team and operational platform to complete workflow
  • Serve as the primary process owner for trade finance programs, which entails facing outsourced business process service providers to address funding and operational questions 
  • Monitor and report on funding activities and liquidity
  • Implement and manage liquidity management strategies to optimize cash flow, including monitoring cash balances and forecasting cash needs
  • Own working capital finance onboarding activities, including liaising with service provider and deal team through platform setup, leading client demos, client onboarding, credit administration and funding
  • Generate regular reporting and reconciliation, and establish improved business practices for reporting and reconciliation 

Portfolio Maintenance

  • Input and maintain reporting requirements, including financials and other key metrics, which may include tracking amendments, monitoring credit names and updating as information is available
  • Reconcile credit details, terms, rates, payments
  • Interface with agents, fund administrators, and counterparty settlement teams regularly to ensure data accuracy and ongoing portfolio integrity
  • Review and maintain investment credit characteristics, including borrower/issuer details and updating information in a timely manner
  • Review transaction activity for propriety and adherence to established controls and procedures 
  • Proactively determine missing, incomplete, and inaccurate information 
  • Assist with accounting/financial reporting research and validation 
  • Identify process gaps, develop solutions, and consistently look to drive efficiency improvements
  • Undertake numerous operational special projects to drive greater operational efficiency across Evolution

Skills, Experience and Education:

  • 2 years of experience in investment management operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Problem solver: ability to look ahead and understand future steps necessary
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within tight time frames
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computer skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Interest in and knowledge of financial markets and investments
  • Degree from a four-year university
