POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Managerat Evolution Well Services (EVO) is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of our fleet operations. This role involves monitoring fleet activities, making strategic decisions regarding asset management, dispatch and routing, and vehicle acquisition and disposal. The FSM ensures that the fleet meets compliance requirements, continuously improves efficiencies, and reduces costs, thus supporting EVO's core business activities. The FSM acts as an ambassador of EVO culture, safety, and ethics, leading by example and providing direct and indirect supervision to meet and exceed company and client expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Fleet Operations Management:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the assigned EVO fleets, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulations.
• Asset Management:
  • Monitor and optimize repair and maintenance (R&M) costs, manage capital expenditures (CAPEX), and control cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Partner with Procurement to streamline and optimize the supply chain of parts, maintain critical spare inventory, and ensure accountability for transfers and work orders.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Promote a culture of safety by actively engaging with employees, fostering open communication in alignment with our core values.
  • Participate in company safety initiatives, adhering to policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all employees and operational excellence.
  • Enforce safety procedures for fleet operations, prepare and maintain accurate records on unit service work, and ensure compliance with company and customer expectations.
• Financial Planning and Budgeting:
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to project and maintain annual fleet budgets for R&M, CAPEX, and COGS.
  • Communicate goals and align with executive objectives to support financial planning and operational strategies.
• Personnel Management:
  • Supervise Fleet Managers, mentor and monitor field personnel performance and progression, and hold field personnel accountable for maintaining a culture of safety and service quality.
  • Create long-term and short-term goals for the fleet, set milestones and timelines, and manage projects assigned to the fleets.
• Customer and Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure their needs are met, provide instructions on proper procedures, and ensure alignment with EVO's digital and operational goals.
  • Partner with the Regional Manager and Engineering to plan logistics of jobs and collaborate with Data Technology Team to meet digital goals.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance control system capabilities and optimize vehicle management processes.
  • Analyze system behavior, prepare reports and documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or 5-7 years of supervisory experience in hydraulic fracturing or a minimum of 3 years within an EVO SS role.
  • Previous well control experience preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and digital platforms like Active Learner, Paycom, KPA.
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, direct projects to completion, and build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to make critical decisions, and manage stress.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Operations Manager works both indoors and outdoors, often visiting wellsites or warehouse environments. The role requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy objects (up to 49 lbs. independently, and 50-100 lbs. with assistance). The FSM must adhere to safety policies and wear mandated PPE. Work hours may include early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on job demands.
