Title: Sr. Project Manager
Location: Crownsville, MD (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Payrate: $68/hr on W2 or 1099
Visa Status: US Citizens only
Position Summary:
The Office of Security Management (OSM) within the Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) provides State agencies with a secure and effective IT strategy. OSM is responsible for Security Policies, Guidance, Awareness, and managing the Statewide Security Operations Center (SOC). The PM will collaborate with key stakeholders, including the State Chief Information Security Officer (SCISO) and others.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days telework) Maryland DoIT office in Crownsville, MD
Travel: Must be able to travel to the Maryland DoIT office in Crownsville, MD, and agencies within the Baltimore/Annapolis region.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop a comprehensive statewide inventory of systems, applications, cloud services, data, and AI-related applications.
· Identify and document system interconnections, analyse existing system inventory documentation.
· Ensure compliance with legislative, executive orders, and department standards.
· Prepare system/application inventory policies and AI system guidance.
· Conduct risk and impact assessments, particularly for AI systems.
· Provide weekly updates on scope, budget, and schedule status, develop project plans, roadmaps, and timelines, coordinate with stakeholders on program status, risks, and issues.
· Ensure compliance with IT project laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business management, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
· Current Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
· 5 years of IT Project Management experience (or 7 years if substituting for a degree).
· 2 years of experience in IT process development, system inventory, and risk assessment.
· Familiarity with NIST Standards and AI technologies.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with regulatory and security requirements for specific data types (FTI, PII, PHI, PCI, CJIS).
