Job Overview
We here at Evolve Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in urgent situations, demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

12/hour night shifts

Start Date 8/20

13-weeks

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS

Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.

- Unit: ED
- # bed: 14 bed with 4 fast track included.
- No triage for agency RNs
- BHU (Behavioral Health Unit: Tandy Burton) mental health nurses see the mental health patients
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Ratios: 1:4'
- EMR: Cerner

## Duties
- Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the Emergency Room
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret test results
- Assist in emergency medical procedures such as suturing wounds and stabilizing patients
- Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

## Skills
- Proficiency in senior care, hospice palliative medicine, medical-surgical, and critical care nursing
- Experience in geriatrics and knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Strong understanding of physiology and the ability to administer injections safely
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- IV insertion experience
- EMR and EHR systems proficiency
- Patient assessment skills
- Experience in catheterization and tube feeding
- Ability to work in fast-paced emergency room environment
- Critical care experience preferred
- Ability to handle diverse patient populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
