To assist healthcare professional by providing administrative and clinical support in the Internal and Family Medicine Practice, adhere to all policies and procedures of Evolve Life Centers, and meet the needs of patients in a teamwork approach.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent ELC in a courteous and professional manner
• Greet guests and incoming calls in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner
• Take accurate messages which include all required information
• Be at your workstation on time and prepared to start the day
• Be flexible when asked to stay past your scheduled work time (as needed) to accommodate the needs of patients
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, or other patient responsible balances
• Email communication is utilized in this department for important messages and updates. Staff members are expected to read emails frequently.
• Correctly process payments and receipts
• Prepare daily deposit and maintain cash bag
• Schedule, coordinate and reschedule patient appointments as instructed by providers.
• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information form patients to ensure accurate billing and maximum reimbursement
• Obtain and process insurance referrals timely
• Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate patient service
• Meet or exceed patient, doctor, and staff expectations through a cooperative, teamwork approach
• Be knowledgeable of general outpatient medical billing and coding
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Authorize drug refills and prescription information to pharmacies
• With instruction, perform other duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong skills in communicating effectively with co-workers, providers, and patients
• Ability to conduct daily functions in an appropriate, professional, and compassionate manner
• Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner
• Teamwork attitude
• Flexibility to respond to changing demands

• Effectively utilize computer systems and programs that are necessary to complete daily tasks
• Experience in outpatient internal medicine coding and billing strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills, collecting specimens
• Administer injections and medications as directed by PCP
