Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health Coach to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Health Coach, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being through personalized coaching and guidance. This position requires a strong understanding of nutrition, exercise, and behavior change techniques to support clients in achieving their health goals. The current office is location in Wallingford, however this position is hiring for an office to be opened in the Southington/Cheshire area.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support and accountability to clients through regular check-ins, goal setting, and progress tracking.
• Educate clients on healthy eating habits, portion control, meal planning, and mindful eating practices.
• Guide clients in adopting sustainable behavior changes, addressing barriers and implementing strategies for long-term success.
• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in health coaching, nutrition, and wellness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress, sessions, and communication in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and motivational interviewing skills to effectively support clients in their journey towards better health.
• Continuously seek feedback and professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Ideal: Bachelors degree in nutrition, dietetics, exercise science or other health related field
• Certification(s) or specific training in health coaching is required.
• Previous experience in health coaching, counseling, or wellness promotion is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to coaching.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in client interactions.
• Passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
