Evolver Federal is Hiring a Cyber Architecture and Engineering Lead Near Washington, DC

Evolver Federal is seeking an experienced Cyber Architecture and Engineering Lead to guide our dynamic engineering teams. This role is pivotal in delivering Enterprise Cybersecurity Services Support. The ideal candidate has a robust background in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, adeptly navigating a wide range of cybersecurity tools, and implementing Agile/DevOps methodologies to ensure timely and within-budget project completion. This role demands a visionary leader who can adapt to and integrate new and emerging technologies and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage diverse engineering teams specializing in various cybersecurity domains.
  • Oversee the execution of cyber threat Intelligence, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of potential threats.
  • Direct continuous penetration testing efforts to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Guide cyber threat hunting and forensics operations to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of cybersecurity engineering and architecture solutions, focusing on automation and optimization.
  • Manage enterprise patch management to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
  • Oversee the maintenance and configuration of enterprise firewalls to protect against external threats.
  • Implement continuous monitoring and authorization services to maintain a high-security posture.
  • Develop strategies for Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) to minimize potential vulnerabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Agile/DevOps methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our cybersecurity strategies remain cutting-edge.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, are delivered on time, and within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience as a Cyber Architect or Engineer
  • 5 years of experience leading and guiding engineering teams of varied skill sets, across a portfolio of cybersecurity tools
  • Certifications: CISSP, Cloud Security Certifications, Vendor Certifications, PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience as a Cyber Architect or Engineer
  • Strong technical foundation skills including cloud cybersecurity principles, cybersecurity vulnerabilities and weaknesses, cybersecurity engineering, cybersecurity tools and understanding cloud technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing and guiding engineering teams across multiple cybersecurity disciplines.
  • Extensive experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including but not limited to SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies and their application in cybersecurity projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to and integrate new technologies and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security threats.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
