Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Derivation and Documentation: Translate system and top-level requirements into detailed circuit board specifications, ensuring all design aspects are thoroughly documented.
• Schematic Creation: Design intricate schematic drawings for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), ensuring accuracy and functionality.
• PCB Layout: Oversee and/or directly engage in the layout of complex Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), ensuring optimal design and manufacturability.
• Manufacturing Support: Provide hands-on assistance with the manufacturing process of complex PCBAs as required, ensuring high-quality output.
• Test Procedure Development: Create comprehensive test procedures for PCBAs, ensuring all performance specifications are met and maintained.
• Design Validation and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough validation of circuit board designs, troubleshooting and testing to identify and resolve any issues.
• System Integration Support: Offer expert support in system integration and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless functionality across systems.
• Schedule Adherence: Work diligently to meet aggressive and accelerated schedule deadlines, ensuring timely project completion.
• Design Review Support: Contribute to internal and external design and development gate reviews, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Proposal and Trade Study Participation: Engage in proposals and trade studies, critically evaluating contractor and subcontractor proposals for technical feasibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, accompanied by 2-6 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in the field.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in hardware and schematic design, analysis and simulations, PCB layout, and testing methodologies.
• Multi-tasking Abilities: Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects concurrently while effectively supporting ongoing production activities.
• Adaptability: Strong technical foundation with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Space Industry Experience: Familiarity with space-specific design, development, and manufacturing standards is highly desirable.
• Environmental Knowledge: Understanding of space environmental conditions, including electromagnetic interference (EMI/EMC), temperature variations, humidity, altitude, shock, vibration, acoustics, and decompression factors.
