Principal Radar Systems Engineer

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Satellite Development: Spearhead the development of advanced satellites, guiding projects from initial concept to on-orbit operations, ensuring technical and schedule milestones are met.
  • Drive Systems Engineering: Oversee systems engineering efforts, producing critical development artifacts and comprehensive analyses to support innovative designs.
  • Verification Planning and Execution: Lead verification planning and execution, including detailed test definitions and processing.
  • Radar Calibration Campaigns: Conduct thrilling radar calibration campaigns, using power measurements, corner reflectors, spherical point targets, and known surfaces for data analysis.
  • RF Subsystem Modeling: Model and characterize complex RF subsystems, digital subsystems, antennas, and integrated radars.
  • Mechanical Collaboration: Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to create instruments that meet ambitious radar objectives.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring top-tier performance and alignment with project goals.

What You Bring:

  • Expertise in Remote Sensing (RADAR): Proven experience with remote sensing radars, demonstrating deep technical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
  • RF Payloads Proficiency: In-depth understanding of RF payloads, with a bonus for KA-band experience.
  • Technical Acumen: Expertise in navigating both software and hardware aspects of radar development.
